What is 5G FR2?
5G NR operates in two main frequency ranges, known as FR1 and FR2.
FR1 consists of sub-6 GHz frequencies, while FR2 comprises millimeter wave (mmWave) frequencies ranging from 24 GHz to 100 GHz.

5G is divided into three frequency bands (low, mid, and high).
Each band has different capabilities: the low band (less than 1GHz) has greater coverage but lower speeds, the mid band (1GHz–6GHz) offers a balance of both, and the high band (24GHz–40GHz) offers higher speeds but a smaller coverage radius.*2: Generally, mmWave is regarded as wavelengths from 1 to 10 mm and frequencies from 30 to 300 GHz, but current 5G communications include frequencies below 30 GHz, such as the 28-GHz band, and frequencies up to about 100 GHz as the upper limit.
