    The Codex Alimentarius Commission(CAC)is an international food standards body established jointly by the Food and Agriculture organization (FAO) and the World Health Organization (WHO)in May 1963 with the objective of protecting consumer's health and ensuring fair practices in food trade.

  • What is the standard composition and analysis of milk powder?

    Nutritional value
    Whole milk powder, on the other hand, contains on average 25–27% protein, 36–38% carbohydrates, 26–40% fat, and 5–7% ash (minerals).

  • What is the standard for full cream milk powder?

    Dry whole milk must contain between 26% and 40% milkfat (by weight) on an “as is'' basis and not more than 5.0% moisture (by weight) on a milk-solids-notfat (MSNF) basis.
    Whole milk powder can contain between 26% and 42% milkfat and the protein level can be adjusted to a minimum of 34% in MSNF.

  • The basic quality indicators of milk powders are both their chemical composition and their physical properties (particle size, density, flowability, solubility, water activity, etc.).
