What is aerobic exercise?
Aerobic exercise is any cardiovascular conditioning or “cardio.” It can include activities like brisk walking, swimming, running, or cycling. By definition, aerobic exercise means “with oxygen.” Your breathing and heart rate will increase during aerobic activities. Aerobic exercise helps keep your heart, lungs, and circulatory system healthy.
Are aerobic activities good for weight loss?
Often called cardio or endurance activities, aerobic activities are great for burning calories and paring down unwanted fat. They consist of activities that make the heart and lungs work harder: think of walking, biking, running, and swimming, for example.
How much aerobic exercise should I do a day?
