With a touch of sadness, Romeo tells Benvolio that he is in love with Rosaline, but that she does not return his feelings and has in fact sworn to live a life of chastity.
Benvolio counsels Romeo to forget her by gazing at other beauties, but Romeo contends that the woman he loves is the most beautiful of all.
How do you write the first scene of a script?
One of the most effective ways to start your script is with a dynamic and engaging action that draws the audience into the world of your story.
Action can be physical, emotional, or verbal, as long as it reveals something important about the characters, the plot, or the setting.
What is an example of a scene in a script?
Let's look at an example.
Say you're writing a straightforward, short screenplay about a man who wakes up in the morning and takes his dog for a walk.
Your first scene might occur in the character's bedroom, in the daytime, while his alarm goes off and he gets out of bed.
This is one scene.
How long is a script for one scene?
A scene can be anything from half a page to ten or more pages long, but on average, a scene will be three pages or less.
That means you don't have a lot of room to play with.
