Similar to legislation, cases are reported in volumes called Law Reports. The Law Reports contain “processed data” from primary records of cases heard by courts. Thus, in a sense, the Law Reports could be regarded as secondary data. These secondary data are the staple of many a doctrinal legal researcher.
